. 2007/8 Membership Policy.

Membership of Bahrain Rugby Football Club during the 2007/8 Season runs from September 1st 2007 through until August 31st 2008 and is open to all nationalities.

Bahrain Rugby Football Club is primarily a sports club aimed at the promotion of, and participation in, the sport of Rugby Football. That said it does participate in a number of other sports including Football, Netball, Cricket & Swimming. Bahrain RFC is a sports club and as such potential members are vetted to ensure that they (and/or their families) have an active interest in one, or more of our core sports.

Two different types of membership exist at the Club, Active & Family, with the head of any household required to hold an Active Membership. The difference is easy, an 'Active Member' is any member who is over 18 years of age and resident in Bahrain (He/She is entitled to vote etc), whilst a 'Family Member' is someone directly related to the 'Active Member' but is under the age of 18.

Application forms for both Membership Renewals and new Membership Applications are available either from Bahrain RFC's reception or can be downloaded through the link below.

Visiting guests are catered for by a system of 'Access Passes' that any member of Bahrain RFC can purchase on behalf of overseas visitors.

We understand that members have family studying overseas who may not be able to be a part of their regular membership as they are over 18 years old for these individuals an 'Overseas Students' Access pass has been specifically created to allow them access to the Club and it's facilities throughout the time they are in Bahrain. Similarly, for those occasions that you may have visiting friends or relatives coming to stay and wanting to use the Club an 'Overseas Guest's Pass' has been created.

Various Junior Sports programs do charge additional fees to provide outside coaching, uniforms etc. Also most have restrictions as to the numbers each age group can accommodate.

You can appreciate that providing coaching for upwards of 800 children every week does present a variety of issues relating to safety of those participating as well as the quality of coaching received by each child. For that reason it is imperative that numbers are limited, if your requested age group is full you will be put on a waiting list!
